The City’s Art Acquisitions 2011–2021

The exhibition of art acquisitions 2018 to 2021 shows a thematic selection from the 120 works or groups of works purchased. It presents some of the focal points of the collection’s activities: the examination of perceptions and images of the body, biological and media manipulations of reality, architectural spaces and their effect on us, and the reflection of a globally interconnected world. But the art also appears as an echo of the tensions, conflicts and wars of the present.
