Caravan (missing collages by Hannah Höch)

The estate of the Berlin artist Hannah Höch contains a collection of black-and-white photographs of lost collages. Nobody knows where these collages are, whether they still exist, also colour and size are unknown. But there are the photographs.

Therefore, Martin G. Schmid and Jaro Straub have decided to transfer Hannah Höch into a contemporary context with the help of these illustrations. They invite artists to embark on a concrete search for traces and to develop a new work along their own work structure on the basis of a selected collage from Hannah Höch’s archive.
